Belchak Corin & Co. Exchange on Luxury 90 Room Hotel Deal in Fulham
Belchak Corin & Co. are pleased to announce that they have exchanged on a 90 room hotel deal at the prestigious Fulham Town Hall in West London. The illustrious Grade II listed building, situated on the border of Fulham and Chelsea, has been acquired on a 30-year lease by headline tenant, room2 who will convert the civic centre into a luxury hotel.
Built in the late 1800s, the historic town hall is an architectural representation of Edwardian elegance, as it boasts a Portland stone façade and is adorned with stained glass windows and elevated ceilings. It is renowned for being one of the most prominent and architecturally significant buildings in the borough of Fulham and Hammersmith. The landmark building will be transformed into a 90 room luxury boutique hotel, operated by room2; the world’s first ‘hometel’ brand.
room2 have revolutionised the accommodation sector in producing a hybrid between home and hotel and in creating luxury living synonymous with comfort, flexibility, safety and security. Fulham Town Hall is room 2’s first premium hometel product. The redesign of the town hall will embrace the building’s authentic Edwardian features and import a fresh, modern style to appeal to a diverse number of guests. Future guests will be treated to individually designed rooms constructed sustainably, and will be afforded with unique amenities, such as the convenience to check in via mobile phone. The construction of the hotel, due to be finished by Q4 2021, will breathe new life into the Fulham community.
The luxury redesign of Fulham Town Hall is part of a wider project to convert the building into a leisure destination that will provide event and co-working space, as well as sophisticated food & beverage offerings. The building was acquired by investor and developer group, Ziser London, in early 2019.
A diverse number of operators have expressed interest in occupying the remaining 30,000 sq ft of the town hall. Belchak Corin & Co. alongside joint agents, Bruce Gillingham Pollard, are still open to talking to other interesting operators about taking part in the project.
